Text signs or emoji?
The zodiac signs (U+2648–2653) have been in Unicode since Unicode 1.1 (1993), long before emoji, and today most phones draw them as emoji by default. The signs in the first row carry an invisible variation selector, ︎ (U+FE0E VARIATION SELECTOR-15), that asks for the plain text look; apps that don't support it show the emoji anyway.
Planet symbols
Unicode's own notes give the planets their classic symbols: ♀ (U+2640 FEMALE SIGN) doubles as Venus and ♂ (U+2642 MALE SIGN) as Mars, while ☿ (U+263F MERCURY), ♃ (U+2643 JUPITER) and ♄ (U+2644 SATURN) are named after their planets. ☉ (U+2609 SUN) is the Sun.
The Chinese zodiac
Its twelve animals follow a repeating twelve-year cycle in this order: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. They exist only as emoji, shown in the last row.
